Compa Sibiu Net Profit Quadruples To RON8.8M In First Quarter

Romanian car parts maker Compa Sibiu (CMP.RO) Monday reported a net profit of 8.8 million lei (EUR2.14 million) for the first quarter, four times higher than RON1.84 million in the same interval of 2010.

Sales rose 51% to RON121.4 million, from RON80.7 million in January-March 2010, the company said in its financial report.

Revenue rose 32% on the year to RON312.6 million, while expenditure increased by 47%, to RON121 million.

The company has a share capital of RON21.8 million, divided into 218.8 million shares with a face value of RON0.1. The largest stake, namely 54.6%, is owned by the employees association.

Compa shares dropped 5.42% Monday, to RON0.506. (EUR1=RON4.1039)
