Government Keeps Scrappage Voucher At RON3,800, Cuts Clunkers Program Budget

The Romanian Government decided to keep the scrappage voucher granted under the cash-for-clunkers program at 3,800 lei (EUR873), and cap the program’s total budget at RON114 million, way below the funds earmarked in 2011 to scrap a maximum of 30,000 vehicles.
