Romania Pays More For Diesel Than Luxembourg Despite Eight Times Lower Wages

One liter of diesel oil in Romania was more expensive at the end of last month than in Luxembourg, despite the fact that a Luxembourger makes almost EUR2,300 per month, while an average Romanian earns EUR297 per month. While Luxembourgers are the wealthiest EU citizens, Romanians are near the bottom of the European Union ranking, leaving only Bulgaria behind.
