UAMT Oradea 1Q Net Profit Decuples To RON0.15M

Romanian car parts maker UAMT Oradea (UAM.RO) on Friday reported a net profit of 154,656 lei (EUR38,000) in the first quarter of the year, more than 10 times higher than RON13,440 in the same interval of 2010, based on increased sales.

The company's sales almost tripled on the year, to RON19.8 million, UAMT said in its financial report.

Revenue jumped to RON19.46 million, from RON7.7 million in January-March 2010, while expenditure rose to RON19.28 million, from RON7.75 million.

UAMT shares were last traded on May 5, at RON0.424, down 0.02% on the reference.

Stockholders include Ioan Stanciu with 36.3%, and the employee association with a 35.6% stake. (EUR1=RON4.106)
