Dafora's Net Profit Falls To RON1.8M In First Quarter

Romanian drilling company Dafora Medias (DAFR.RO) Thursday said its net profit fell over threefold to 1.8 million lei (about EUR440,000) in the first quarter, from around RON6.3 million in the year-earlier period.

Dafora reported total revenues of RON48.2 million in January to March, slightly up from RON48 million in the corresponding period of 2010. Overall costs rose 11% on the year to RON46.3 million.

Dafora has a share capital of RON97.3 million, divided into 973.5 million shares with a face value of RON0.1.

The company's main stockholder is businessman Gheorghe Calburean, who owns a 48.58% stake.

On the Bucharest bourse Thursday, Dafora closed down 3.6% at RON0.1178 a share. (EUR1=RON4.0997)
