Hidroelectrica Administrator: We Are Preparing For Force Majeure

Romania’s largest insolvency, that of energy producer Hidroelectrica, is proving an increasingly tough mission, since the company could again use the force majeure clause because of the drought. Moreover, one of its energy traders – Euro P.E.C., the only company that has lost its direct contract with Hidroelectrica so far – has also filed for insolvency, so the losses from this contract will be borne by the state-run producer.
