Iproeb Posts RON1.6M Profit In 1Q, Up 13% On The Year

Cable maker Iproeb Bistrita (IPRU.RO) on Thursday reported a 13% increase in its first quarter profit, to 1.6 million lei (EUR378,000), from RON1.4 million in the same interval the year before.

Sales dropped 6% on the year, to RON26 million, from RON27.6 million in the first quarter of 2010.

Revenue rose 5% on the year, to RON28.2 million, while expenditure rose 5% as well, to RON26.3 million.

Iproeb has a share capital of RON14.7 million, divided into 47.5 million shares with a face value of RON0.3.

Shareholders include Electromontaj with 33.24%, Dutch investment fund with 10.37% and regional investment fund SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1.RO) with 6.6%.

Iproeb shares closed up 0.64% Thursday, to RON1.409. (EUR1=RON4.1065)
