OPCOM Energy Prices Skyrocket Due To Weak Hydropower Output

Energy prices on the day-ahead market of Romania’s power bourse OPCOM rose to 342 lei (EUR79.6) per MWh Thursday, more than double compared with last year’s average, due to lower hydropower output, an official of state-run power grid operator Transelectrica (TEL.RO) said.
