Farinsan: Consumption Of Bread And Bakery Products Up, Driven By Imports

The local bakery industry cannot be competitive with other markets in the region mainly because of the logistics and transportation costs, which led to a rise in imports, especially of frozen bread, says Felix Pislaru, general manager of Farinsan (Giurgiu, southern Romania), one of the largest milling and bakery companies in the country.
