Sibex Appoints Provisional General Manager

Sibiu bourse Sibex on Monday appointed SIF Transilvania (SIF3.RO) representative Dan Simionescu as provisional president and general manager, since the Sibiu Court recently reversed a decision appointing Cristian Sima to the position.

During the same meeting, the Sibiu board approved the resignation of former general manager, and appointed deputy general manager Darius Cipariu as his replacement until Simionescu's mandate starts.

Sima's appointment was challenged in court by a group of Sibex shareholders, namely Nicolae Vaidescu and the companies W.K.Group and International ESI.

Dan Simionescu is currently in charge with investment strategies and stock market analysis at regional investment fund SIF Transilvania.
