Mechel Set To Turn Otelu Rosu Plant Into Smaller Version Of Sidex

Russia’s Mechel group, which owns five steel mills in Romania, plans to boost the raw steel output of its Otelu Rosu plant to 1.3 million tons a year, about half the level of ArcelorMittal Galati (formerly Sidex). To achieve this figure, Otelu Rosu, which is part of Ductil Steel Buzau, will require two investment phases.
