The television film "William & Kate: A Royal Love Story" about Prince William and Kate Middleton, will be filmed in Bucharest, MediaPro Studios officials said Friday.

The film will be produced by the Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA) for the Hallmark Channel. It chronicles the couple as students, William's army training, their break-up, reunification, engagement and wedding arrangements.

Dan Amboyer and Alice St. Clair, two young actors at the beginning of their careers, will play Prince William and Kate Middleton, while veteran actress Jane Alexander will play Queen Elizabeth II, the prince's grandmother. The film is directed by Linda Yellen, who in 1982 produced "The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana" for CBS, the TV film with the highest ever ratings, which focused on Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

Filming will start this month and the world premiere is expected to take place in August.

This is MPCA's third project at MediaPro Studios. Its first film was "Weapon," shot in 2010, which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme. It was followed by "Christmas at Castlebury Hall," featuring Roger Moore.
