Magheru Boulevard linking Romana Square to Universitatii Square in central Bucharest lacks some of the things that major shopping streets in other European cities have. Thus, international fashion brands are almost completely absent, “traditional” food translates into Turkish, Vietnamese or McDonald’s and KFC products, whereas sex shops and exchange offices fill tens of spaces.
