Lidl Close To EUR400m Revenue Mark In 2011 After 16% Growth

Discount chain Lidl, the latest to enter the market of modern retail in Romania in 2011, when it started one of the most aggressive expansion campaigns, ended last year with 1.68 billion lei (EUR375 million) in revenue, up about 16% on 2010. The 2010 revenue was actually Plus Discount’s, a retailer that Lidl bought to enter the local market.
