Modern Retailers In Romania See Lower Sales Per Store In 2012 Despite Overall Sales Growth

Sales of modern retail chains in Romania saw a 3% increase to EUR6.77 billion in 2012, backed by the opening of more than 100 new stores. Although total sales saw a slight increase, sales per store, an important indicator of consumer spending, fell an average 15.5% in euros.
