Wheat Producers Await Autumn For Higher Prices

Wheat producer prices ranged from 500 lei (EUR120)/ton to RON1,000 (EUR230)/ton, but many farmers are waiting for autumn and hoping for higher gains. The most expensive wheat in Romania, at over RON1,000/ton, is now to be found in Gorj and Suceava, while farmers in Teleorman, Arges or Giurgiu, who are content with RON600/ton, are at the opposite end.
