Romanian Carrier: We’ll Close Down If Drivers’ Daily Allowance Is Taxed Retroactively

Romeo Dunca, a stakeholder in one of Romania’s largest road freight carriers Dunca Expeditii, says that should the local tax authority ANAF retroactively tax drivers’ daily allowances he will make all the employees redundant and close down the company, which currently employs 700 people.
