Two of the richest families in Germany - Schwarz and Schaeffler, are the biggest private sector employers in Romania, with more than 43,000 jobs created in the companies they own – Kaufland and Lidl (Schwarz) and Continental and Schaeffler (the automotive industry manufacturers of the Schaeffler family).
