Average Net Salary In Romania Up 5.7% In March

The average salary in Romania rose 5.7% in March to 1,829 lei (around 415 euros) from RON1,731 in the previous month, data from the statistics bureau showed Thursday.

The gross average salary was up 5.6% on the month to RON2,529, the data showed.

Staff in the tobacco industry received the biggest paychecks in February, of RON5,799 on average. At the opposite end, hotel and restaurant employees received the lowest monthly salaries, of RON995.
