Romanian adjusted industrial production inched up 0.3% in February compared with the previous month, fueled by higher output in most sectors, the country’s statistics institute INS said Friday.

A month earlier, industrial production was up 1% in data adjusted for the number of working days and seasonal factors.

Output in the mining sector rose 3.2% on the month in February, while manufacturing production increased by 0.3%. However, energy output declined 0.9% on the month.

In annual terms, the country's adjusted industrial output rose 12.7% in February, boosted by increases in all sectors, the data showed.

Manufacturing output advanced 15.1% on the year, while production in the energy and mining industries was up 3.2% and 1.5%, respectively.

In unadjusted data, Romanian industrial production rose 5.1% on the month in February and was up 12.6% compared with the year-ago month.
