Romania Forex Reserves Rise To EUR32.4B in April

Romanian foreign exchange reserves rose slightly to EUR32.4 billion in April from EUR32.2 billion in the previous month, central bank data showed Thursday.

Foreign exchange inflows increased to EUR924 million from EUR864 million in March, while total outflows fell to EUR721 million versus EUR825 million a month earlier.

The bank’s gold holdings were steady at 103.7 metric tons, but their value adjusted for international gold price fell to EUR3.75 billion from EUR4.17 billion in March.

Romania's overall international reserves were at EUR36.17 billion in April, slightly down from EUR36.38 billion the month before.

The payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt in May amount to EUR1.17 billion, the data showed.
