Romania Revises 2012 GDP Growth Forecast Downwards To 1.7%

The revision of the economic growth forecast to 1.7% is the first official acknowledgement that the gross domestic product this year will be lower than the expectations in 2011, around which the budget was built. The National Statistics Institute adjusted the decline of the economy in 2009 from -7.1% to -6.6% and to -1.6% from -1.3% for 2010.
