190,000 Romanians Earn More Than EUR1,000/Month

Almost 190,000 Romanians were earning more than 5,000 lei (over EUR1,140) in gross salary in October 2011, almost as many as in October 2008, even though the total number of employees went down by 12.5% in the three years, according to the data published by the National Statistics Institute on Wednesday. The institute conducts such a survey every year, which includes October data, and delivers the results six months after that.
