Agriculture, a sector that generates 6% of Romania’s’ gross domestic product (EUR10 billion to EUR11 billion) a year and made a significant contribution to the 2011 economic growth of 2.5%, suddenly stopped growing in the summer. That was the time when the rapeseed, sunflower and corn lost the battle against the drought.
