Authorities Pledge To The IMF To Lay Off 7,000 In State-Held Companies By August

At least 6,910 jobs in state-held companies subordinated to the Economy and Transport Ministries will be cut by August this year, according to an addendum to the letter of intent sent by the Romanian authorities to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and approved at the beginning of this week. The personnel cuts will take into account the number of employees that each company had at the end of last year.
