Black Sea Coast City Halls To Finance Public Order, Lifeguard Services - Draft

05.22.2011 By Ioana Tudor

Public order and lifeguard services, as well as water supply and sewerage system work on the Romanian Black Sea Coast will no longer be financed from the state budget, according to a draft emergency ordinance drawn up by the Tourism and Regional Development Ministry.

According to the document, the respective services will be financed by city halls in sea coast areas from their own budges.

The draft act amends Government Emergency Ordinance 19/2006 on the Black Sea Coast administration.

Under the law, public administration authorities must ensure lifeguard and public order services, and carry out water supply and sewerage system work, using funds allotted from the state budget and funds from other sources.
