Bucharest’s First Green Areas Census: Tree Numbers Up 50% In 20 Years

Bucharest has 1.7 million trees in its public spaces and 400,000 trees on private properties according to the first census on green areas conducted in Bucharest, as well as nationwide. Any resident will be able to look at the records of trees and green areas in the capital city, and inform public authorities about tree-related problems through an IT system which is set to be implemented by the Bucharest City Hall.
