EU Warns Romania, Bulgaria, Czechs Over Defense Procurement

The European Commission has sent letters to Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic to highlight EU laws concerning procurement, over concerns that they might conclude major defense deals to buy fighter jets without holding an open tender, Business New Europe magazine reported Monday.
