PM: Local Authorities Not Hiking Taxes By 16% Won’t Be Properly Compensated

The Romanian Government is set to adopt Wednesday the ordinance stating local authorities may decide whether or not to increase local taxes, Prime Minister Victor Ponta said, adding local administrations that don't raise taxes will not have their budgets balanced from the state budget.
