Romania Had 5.43 Mln Pensioners In 1Q, Average Pension 3.8% Higher On Year

Romania had 5.433 million pensioners in the first quarter of the year, 98,000 fewer than in the similar interval a year ago, and the average monthly pension increased 3.8% to 795 lei (EUR177), the country’s statistics institute INS said Friday.
