Romania Loses EUR22B A Year To Tax Evasion

Romania ranks second in Eastern Europe in terms of its underground economy, with almost EUR40 billion in absolute terms in 2013, shows a study of AT Kearney on Europe’s underground economy released at the end of last week. No. 1 in Eastern Europe is Poland, whose shadow economy amounts to EUR95 billion.
