UNSAR Members' Underwritten Premiums Down 5% In Jan-Sept To RON4.9B

Premiums underwritten by insurers that make up the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania (UNSAR) fell about 5% in the first nine months of 2011 to 4.9 billion lei (EUR1.13 billion), due to a 8.2% drop in revenues on the general insurance segment, UNSAR said Tuesday.
