Regulated Prices May Mean Priority Access To Power Grid For Renewable Energy

05.27.2011 By Andrei Cîrchelan

Romanian energy regulator ANRE proposed the reduction of priority access, by renewable energy producers to the power grid, to include solely producers whose prices are regulated.

"For electricity produced from renewable sources and sold at regulated prices, the power grid and system operators will provide priority access to the grid," ANRE note in a draft emergency ordinance amending current legislation.

Regulated energy fees are set by ANRE, and beneficiaries include household consumers, public institutions and several companies.
