Romania Paid $10B For Russian Natural Gas In Last Eight Years

With two exceptions, every bill paid by Romania over the past eight years for natural gas supplied through intermediaries from Russia has been higher than $1 billion. Last year, the cost was $1.57 billion, nearly double that of 2010. On the long term and in the absence of alternatives, the bill for Russian gas will keep growing beyond the $10 billion of the last eight years.
