Severe Drought Prompts Nuclearelectrica To Shut Down Its Second Nuclear Power Reactor Too

State-owned nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica (stock symbol: SNN), the operator of Romania's Cernavoda nuclear power plant (NPP), has announced that the plant's second nuclear reactor will also be shut down in a controlled manner and disconnected from the national grid either late Wednesday (July 29) or early Thursday (July 30), depending on the continued decrease in water levels of the Danube river.
