Government Collected RON4B Less VAT Than Planned In 2014

Romania’s tax authority ANAF collected only 50.8 billion lei (EUR11.4 billion) in VAT last year even though it had expected RON54.6 billion. VAT revenue therefore dropped in 2014 for the first time since 2009, when the economy shrank by 7.2%.
