Romanian Executives Optimistic About Economy In 2Q

Romanian executives estimate all economic sectors will see higher activity levels in the April-June period compared with the previous three months, the statistics institute INS said in a survey Monday.

The polled managers expect above-average growth in the manufacturing industry, retail and constructions and they see only a moderate increase in services in the second quarter of the year.

Most managers estimate prices will increase in all sectors over the April-June interval, while employee numbers are expected to remain rather unchanged compared with the previous three months.

INS interviewed 8,780 managers in manufacturing, constructions, retail and services sectors.
