Romania Receives First EUR2.5B Payment Under SAFE Defence Instrument

Romania has received its first payment of EUR2.5 billion under the Security Action for Europe (SAFE) defence instrument, representing 15% of its total allocation of EUR16.7 billion that can be accessed through 2030, the European Commission has announced in a press release.
