Car Industry Reshuffled Romanian Export Structure

The share of transport equipment in the overall exports rose from 3% to 14% between 2000 and 2013, during a period when the value of exports increased from EUR11 billion to EUR49 billion, which represents the biggest transformation Romania’s exports have undergone in the past 14 years, Constantin Chirca, a deputy director with the Statistics Department of the country's central bank.
