Romania’s Central Bank Governor Wants No Involvement In President-PM Battle

Central bank governor Mugur Isarescu did not bring about the meeting last Tuesday between Romanian President Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Victor Ponta on the state budget and on the letter of intent with the International Monetary Fund, nor does he want to be an arbiter or a mediator between the two, says Adrian Vasilescu, advisor of the governor.
